Richard completed both his Undergraduate Science degree (2004) and Postgraduate Medical degree (2009) at the University of Queensland.

After completing a wide variety of Hospital rotations as a Medical Officer, Richard completed his Specialist General Practice training in 2016 and was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP).

Further to this, to facilitate the next generation of high-quality General Practitioners, Richard is a current GP Registrar Supervisor with the RACGP.

Richard enjoys consulting across the full breadth of Primary care, and he is a strong advocate of the value to the individual, and the community, for high-quality Primary care. Along with other General Practitioners at PFMC, he contributes to Primary Care research with the University of Queensland.

Richard is currently a Director of the Australian General Practice Alliance (AGPA), a group that represents GP owned General Practices, along with the AMA & RACGP, to advocate for independent and financially viable General Practice in Australia.

Richard is a Peregian local and spends most of his spare time on various adventures with his two young children, with the occasional surf.

Anne is a very experienced GP who has worked in Peregian Beach since 2001. She is originally from New Zealand where she graduated from Otago University in 1987.

Anne obtained fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2018.

She provided regular home visits to her elderly patients, including those in aged care facilities.

Anne is highly respected within the community, and she is extremely dedicated to her patients.

When not at work, Anne loves the beach and off-road camping with her family.

Dr Kate Krimmer

Dr Kate Krimmer is an experienced GP who has been practicing in the Sunshine Coast area for the last 12 years. She graduated from the University of Queensland MBBS program in 2007, and Fellowed with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2012. 

Kate has a focus on preventative health care and enjoys empowering patients in their own health journeys by working from an evidence-based platform.

Kate enjoys the broad scope of General Practice and has special interest in antenatal and post-natal care, paediatrics and women’s health. She is a preferred provider for antenatal care with the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. 

She also works as a Medical Education Coordinator for GP Training Queensland, and is an examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, helping to ensure that there is a new generation of high-quality GPs to look after our health into the future. 

When not at work, Kate enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with her family and friends.

 Melissa started medicine with the intention of being a GP - primarily because of the ability to form continuing relationships and really getting to know patients and families, which is such a rewarding aspect of being a family doctor.  She enjoys the diversity and challenge of never knowing whats going to come through the door next, and being able to equally look after newborns and the elderly. 

Melissa is a current GP Registrar Supervisor with the RACGP

Brendan has previous experience in general medicine, endocrinology and geriatrics. He enjoys general practice for the variety it offers across all age groups.

He has a particular interest in preventing and treating adult chronic disease especially diabetes and cardiovascular disease. He also enjoys performing a range of minor procedures such as skin cancer treatment.

Outside of medicine, Brendan enjoys being outside surfing, running and pretty much any sport.

Dr Natalie Varga is a Queensland trained GP and completed her science and medical degrees at the University of Qld.

As a junior doctor Natalie gained experience in a variety of hospital specialties at the RBWH, Caboolture and Townsville hospitals, with a focus later on emergency medicine and psychiatry.

However, she found the diversity of general practice most appealing, and gained her Fellowship with the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2018.

Natalie enjoys every aspect of community healthcare, and feels privileged to build long term relationships with her patients across their lifespan. She strongly advocates for preventative health activities to keep her patients healthy.

Natalie with her two labradors and two cats are very happy to call the Sunshine Coast their home. She looks forward to continuing to care for the health needs of the Peregian community for years to come.

Dr Siv Welluppillai

Gaining his Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland UK in 1992, Siv worked for several UK practices in Aberdeen & Derbyshire prior to migrating to Australia in 2013, gaining Fellowship with RACGP the same year.

Siv has worked as a GP in areas of need within the Brisbane metropolitan area for the past 10 years, as well as working locum positions in the Noosa area.

Having recently moved to Noosa, Siv is looking forward to establishing his practice at Peregian Family Medical Centre, to provide outstanding care to the Peregian community.

Siv holds a particular interest in Men’s Health and musculoskeletal medicine, including prolotherapy, steroid and trigger point injections.

Briana Sherriff, Practice Nurse

Briana obtained her Bachelor of Nursing from Queensland University of Technology in 2000.

She worked in the Princess Alexandra Hospital Brisbane Transplant Unit for 6 years prior to moving to NSW, where she spent 10 years with the Sydney Eye Hospital as both a casual pool nurse and an emergency department nurse.

Briana then transferred to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Sydney Sexual Health Clinic where she worked over a period of 6 years, with simultaneous stints with the NSW Covid-19 Response Deployment Teams

Briana has recently returned to Queensland and joined Peregian Family Medical Centre in February 2024

Jacy Bryant, Practice Nurse

Jacy is a Registered Nurse with experience in acute & primary care settings, which have included community nursing, acute surgical & medical, emergency nursing, adult mental health, rehabilitation & elderly acute care.

Prior to nursing, Jacy worked in federal government department roles, including quality improvement, information policy governance & project management, allowing her to bring a wide range of skills and experience to her nursing role at Peregian Family Medical Centre

Laura is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and holds a Diploma of Child Health, Doctor of Medicine, and Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.

 

Originally from regional Queensland, Laura's passion for lifelong learning and her commitment to value-driven comprehensive family medicine inspired her to pursue this privileged career. She is committed to partnering with patients throughout their health journey.

He has in excess of 30 years of administration & people management experience in the areas of banking, local government, private enterprise and medical management.
